Not ready for injectables. Not interested in surgery. And not okay with doing nothing, either, while her skin quietly stops looking like her own.
That’s the gap. It’s real, and until recently, we didn’t have much to offer the women standing in it.
She’s not vain. She’s not chasing a different face. She just wants the one she had five years ago back.
What’s actually happening
If this is you: your skin feels different before it looks different. A little looser along the jaw. A softness under the eyes that wasn’t there. Cheeks that sit lower by the end of the day. You catch yourself in a photo and pause, because that’s not quite how you picture yourself.
You don’t recognise yourself. Not in a dramatic way. In a quiet, cumulative one.
And the two options you’ve been offered so far both feel wrong. Injectables feel like too big a step, or the wrong one for what’s happening to your skin, not your muscles. Surgery feels like an enormous, irreversible answer to a problem you’re not ready to call drastic. So you do nothing, and the drifting continues.
We hear a version of this conversation most weeks. Not from women wanting to look different. From women wanting to look like themselves again, on a normal Tuesday, without anyone clocking that anything changed.
We think doing nothing shouldn’t be the only alternative to doing something drastic. Which is why we brought XERF to Shepparton.
Where XERF fits
XERF is a non-invasive radiofrequency device, not a cosmetic medicine treatment. No needles. No numbing. Nothing injected, nothing cut. It uses two radiofrequency frequencies in a single pass, reaching the surface, mid and structural layers of the skin at once, where sagging and thinning actually begin.
The effect is twofold. There’s an immediate tightening, from collagen contracting in real time. Then, over the following weeks and months, your body keeps working, rebuilding collagen and elastin as it heals. A session runs about an hour. Most people need one to two initial treatments, with a top-up once a year to maintain it. Downtime is mild warmth or redness for a day, and that’s usually it.
It’s suited to sagging skin and loss of firmness, fine lines, mild to moderate laxity through the face, neck and jawline, jawline definition, the brow area, under-eyes, and texture and pore size. Made by Cynosure Lutronic, it’s described as the world’s first single-shot, multifrequency monopolar RF device, and it’s the reason we could finally offer this middle ground properly, instead of stitching one together from treatments that weren’t built for it.
What it won’t do
Here’s the honest part, because that’s the only part worth saying.
XERF is built for mild to moderate laxity. Not significant sagging. Not the kind of change that needs a scalpel or a needle to correct. If your skin has moved past that point, we’ll tell you, and we’ll tell you what will actually help instead. We’d rather you be disappointed by an honest answer than pleased by an overstated one.
For the right client, though, it’s a genuinely good option. Firmer, fresher skin, achieved gently, without anyone needing to know you did anything at all.
Consultations are open
XERF launched across Australia and New Zealand in May this year. We’re the first to bring it to regional Victoria, and clients can book a consultation now to find out whether it’s the right fit for what your skin is actually doing.
Not every treatment is right for every face. That’s the whole point of a proper assessment; it’s how you get an honest answer instead of a sold one.
So: what’s the in-between step you’ve been waiting for?
