Clinical facials in Shepparton at ANO Cosmetics & Skin start with an assessment of your skin on the day. The right facial depends on what your skin needs, whether that is deep cleansing for congestion, hydration for dull or dehydrated skin or calming for redness and sensitivity. Options include Medi Facials, the Hydrating Boost Facial, DMK Enzyme Therapy, BioRePeel and LED light therapy. Many clients book every four to six weeks to match the skin’s renewal cycle. Every facial is performed by Registered Nurses or degree-qualified Dermal Clinicians.
A facial should do something.
Not just smell nice. Not just feel nice for an afternoon. Not just leave you with a bag of products you will never finish.
At ANO, every facial is chosen for what your skin actually needs, by a clinician who has looked at it first. Some days that is deep cleansing. Some days it is calming. And some days it is telling you that a facial is not what your skin needs at all.

Our clinical facials
- Medi Facials: tailored clinical facials built around your skin on the day.
- Hydrating Boost Facial: deep cleansing, extraction and hydration for congested or dehydrated skin.
- DMK Enzyme Therapy: a paramedical treatment that works with your skin’s own function to strengthen and renew it.
- BioRePeel: a peel for clearer, smoother skin without the downtime of a traditional peel.
- LED Light Therapy: calming light therapy, often added to support inflamed or sensitised skin.
- Laser Genesis: a gentle laser facial for redness, texture and overall skin quality, which can be paired with a bespoke facial.
We also offer a pregnancy facial designed for skin that is changing during pregnancy. Let us know you are expecting when you book.

Looking for a HydraFacial in Shepparton?
Our Hydrating Boost Facial is our own deep cleansing and hydrating treatment rather than the HydraFacial brand. If clean, hydrated, fresh skin is what you are after, it is the place to start.
Which facial is right for my skin?
Congestion and blackheads
The Hydrating Boost Facial or BioRePeel are common starting points. If it is breakouts rather than congestion, read our page on acne treatment in Shepparton.
Dull or dehydrated skin
A Medi Facial or Hydrating Boost Facial, supported by the right home care.
Redness and sensitivity
LED and Laser Genesis are often used here. Our page on rosacea and redness explains more.
Pigmentation and uneven tone
Facials can support pigmentation but rarely resolve it alone. See our pigmentation and melasma page.
Fine lines and texture
Laser Genesis or SkinPen microneedling usually do more than a facial alone. For firmness, see skin tightening.
What happens at your facial appointment
- A skin check first. Your clinician looks at your skin and asks what you use at home and what you want to change.
- The right treatment for the day. If your skin is reactive, sunburnt or inflamed, we adjust the plan rather than push through.
- Your facial. Cleansing, treatment and finishing steps chosen for your skin, with LED added where it will help.
- A plan to take home. Simple home care advice and a suggested rhythm for your next visit.
Facials for teens, men and pregnancy
Skin changes through every stage of life, so our facials do too. Our Teenage Facial is designed for young, breakout-prone skin and builds good habits early. The Gentleman’s Facial is tailored to men’s skin, including skin that is shaved often. Our Pregnancy Facial uses products chosen for skin that is changing during pregnancy. You can read more about each on our Medi Facials page.
Looking after your skin after a facial
- Wear SPF 50+ every day, especially in the days after a peel or laser facial.
- Skip scrubs and strong actives such as retinol or exfoliating acids for a few days unless your clinician says otherwise.
- Keep your skin clean and leave makeup off for the rest of the day where you can.
- Book your next visit before you leave so your skin stays on track.

Why we look before we treat
Most skin we see has already been through a lot of products. Before recommending a facial we look at what your skin is doing, what you are using at home and what has not worked. Our OBSERV 520x skin analysis shows what is happening beneath the surface, not just what the mirror shows.
Your facial is performed by our skin team of Registered Nurses and degree-qualified Dermal Clinicians. Meet the team here, or see the full range of skin treatments.
Common questions about facials
How often should I have a facial?
Skin renews itself roughly every four to six weeks, so many clients book on that rhythm. Your clinician will suggest a frequency that suits your skin and your budget.
What is the difference between a clinical facial and a salon facial?
A clinical facial is chosen and performed by a qualified skin clinician to achieve a specific outcome for your skin. It is treatment first, relaxation second.
Can I have a facial while pregnant?
Yes. We offer a pregnancy facial. Please tell us you are pregnant when booking so we can choose the right products and treatment.
Do I need a consultation first?
If you are new to ANO or not sure what to book, a skin consultation is the best place to start. It means your first treatment is the right one.
How long does a facial take?
It depends on the facial. Your booking confirmation shows how long to allow and our Express Hydrating Boost Facial is the quickest option if you are short on time.
Is there any downtime after a facial?
Most facials have none. Your skin may look a little pink for a few hours. If you are having a peel such as BioRePeel, your clinician will explain what to expect before you start.
Can I wear makeup after my facial?
We suggest leaving your skin bare for the rest of the day where you can. If you have an event, let us know when you book so we can plan around it.
What skincare do you use?
Our DMK Enzyme Therapy uses DMK’s professional range, which we also stock in clinic. Your clinician will only suggest the home care your skin actually needs.
Where to start
A skin consultation. We look first, then recommend the facial that will actually move your skin forward.
