Maigan is a Skin Clinical Nurse Consultant at ANO who specialises in skin checks, mole assessments, and minor removals. She also performs gestational glucose tolerance tests, making the experience feel less clinical and more comfortable.
The Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) is a standard screening for gestational diabetes between 24–28 weeks of pregnancy. Instead of sitting in a crowded pathology waiting room, ANO offers a calm, private setting where your test is performed by a Registered Nurse.
While you wait between blood draws, you’ll enjoy a 30-minute lymphatic leg massage, a heat pack for relaxation, and iced water on hand. We finish with a light snack and a drink of your choice to gently break your fast.
$200
Enjoy a more relaxed version of your glucose tolerance test with a 30-minute lower limb massage and access to our shared waiting area between three scheduled blood tests over two hours.
$300
Designed for those needing extra care, this option includes a 30-minute lower limb massage and a private room with a bed, perfect for clients experiencing nausea, anxiety, hyperemesis, pre-eclampsia, or simply seeking a peaceful, quiet space.
Both packages come with:
A warm heat pack for added comfort
Nausea relief essentials
Your choice of refreshment and a light snack after fasting
To complete your experience, ANO offers the option to add a skin treatment during your final hour, perfect for a little extra pampering while you’re here (subject to availability).
When booking your initial appointment online, you’ll be asked a few quick questions about your family history, past mole checks, and any history of sunburn. During your appointment, Maigan will chat with you about any concerns you may have, and assess your individual risk of skin damage.
For a Full Body Check, you’ll be offered a warm towel for comfort while Maigan performs a thorough examination. Using a dermatoscope, she’ll check for any irregularities. At the end of your appointment, Maigan will walk you through any findings and discuss the next steps, if needed.
MK Skin & Wound is proud to collaborate with accredited skin cancer doctor Dr. James in Shepparton. This partnership allows Maigan to offer biopsies for moles and sunspots that may be concerning. If a biopsy is needed, Maigan will determine eligibility, and you’ll return 1-2 weeks for your results and wound review. Depending on the findings, you may be referred to Dr. James for further care.
For aesthetic mole removal, a punch biopsy is used, and any lesions removed will be sent for analysis to ensure it is not suspicious or of concern.
